Our Poultry
We currently keep chickens, turkeys and ducks. We have two layer flocks of heritage breed chickens that are fed organic feed. These flocks are moved constantly to fresh ground to allow the chickens new ground to scratch in, find bugs, and eat grass.
We have a small flock of rouen and pekin ducks which are kept both as pets and for eggs.
During the summer months, we keep several flocks of Freedom Ranger chickens for meat, which we process humanely ourselves on the farm. These birds are kept in moveable shelters which provide shade, protection and fresh grass daily.
Finally, we keep a small flock of heritage turkeys every summer which are processed in late fall. All of our poultry is fed organic, soy-free, corn free feed.
